This short quote has incredible significance to me but usually I tell people it means not letting others influence you or push you too much. Do your own thing. I also just had a major life change, moving out of my home town for the first time, in a big city, new school, new job…. I feel it signifies moving on, taking control of my life and my dreams.

This is a portrait of my grandfather. He was one of the most important people in my younger life. I had a blast with him. He passed away in 2001. It took me a while but I found John Kyser at Holdfast Tattoo Company and he did an amazing job. R.I.P John Henry Clay.

This is my third tattoo, it’s one week old in this picture. Besides it being a reference to The Hobbit it holds meaning to me because I’m away from my home state and town now and will be going back and forth for at least the next four years probably longer. This is just a reminder of where home always will be and that I’ll always return there. I got it done by Brian at Ms Deborah’s Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine, Fl
